Tucked into the hidden gem of one of Western Australia’s oldest settlement towns of Jarrahdale, Kitty's Gorge is set in the Darling Ranges and surrounded by Jarrah forest. Located a pleasant one hour drive from Perth, the magnificent Kitty's Gorge trail will find you hiking 17km return with a showcase of the forest's iconic WA flora and fauna, allowing your senses to come alive as you see, hear and smell nature at its finest. With beautiful streams, gorges, and the famous Serpentine Falls ahead, this experience is jam packed with exciting challenges, and rewarding views.

MEETING POINT AND GETTING THERE
Jarrahdale is a beautiful drive about 1 hour south of Perth. Choose to head down Kwinana Freeway, or along South Western Highway, before turning onto Jarrahdale Road. We are hiking from Aitkins Street in Jarrahdale ( Just opposite the Jarrahdale cemetery)
WHAT TO WEAR & BRING:
Bring plenty of water (we recommend at least 2 litres per person)
Hiking poles if you have them
Snacks for morning tea at Serpentine Falls at the half way point
Comfortable clothes and shoes with good grip for the gravel surfaces
Change of clothes for post hike to enjoy a relaxing lunch at the Millbrook Winery
Cash or card to buy lunch or wine
HIKING GRADE:
This hike is a grade 3, and some hiking experience and fitness is recommended. The trail has uphill and downhill sections with some tough climbs, as well as a longer distance. See what the grades mean here.
