The famous Bibbulmun Track is one of the world’s great long distance walk trails, stretching 1000km from Kalamunda in the Perth Hills, to Albany on the south coast, winding through the heart of the scenic South West of Western Australia.

On this tour, we begin at the Mundaring Weir Hotel, where we will be chauffeured by private charter to the very start of the Bibbulmun Track, in Kalamunda.  From there we will enjoy a one way 19km adventure on the iconic track through to Mundaring Weir.

This is Part 1 of our Bibbulmun Track Series, and showcases the sweeping views of Beelu National Park, Kalamunda National Park, and Mundaring Weir. Enjoy lunch at the Mundaring Weir Pub if you wish to stick around post hike! This is a great introduction to long distances on the Bibbulmun Track, and shows you what a day hike on the trail feels like.

Please park opposite the Mundaring Weir Hotel, at the Mundaring Weir Gallery, on Hall Road. We will depart on a bus from there to the start point of the hike in Kalamunda. Your car will then be available for you upon returning to Mundaring.


Based on the distance of this trail, it is recognised as a grade four. This is recommended for experiences hikers or those with good fitness levels. The trail is often steep and uneven, and is very long in distance and over sometimes rough terrain.  Prepare for hills, climbs, steady tracks, and everything in between! 


  • Bring plenty of water ( at least 2 litres per person)

  • Comfortable clothes and sturdy trainers or hiking boots. With the uneven gravel trail at times, good grip soles are advised.

  • If you have hiking poles, this is a great opportunity to use them, with uneven surfaces.

  • Camera to snap the beautiful bushland, wildlife, and new friends

  • Personal first aid kit

  • Morning tea to enjoy at our half way stop


We finish up at the Mundaring Weir hotel. Stick around and enjoy lunch and a pint in the beer garden.
